DANCE MEDICINE - ongoing
Dance and movement are affirmations of the mystery, variety and wonder
of life. Through movement we can get in touch with the gifts, talents,
wisdom and resources that are contained within our bodies in the
present moment. Through dance we can remember ourselves and tap
into our innate "dance medicine" letting the dance move us - the
dance that is at the core of everything.
(see schedule for details)
CORE CONNEXION Community - ongoing
Our bodies are the temples of our souls. Our practice is to
find and follow the dancing energies in our bodies - to come home to our selves.
After a guided warm-up-practice to help us connect with the body and the dance,
we explore our own dance in community.

Dreamweavers
– International Retreat
Castle Glarisegg, Switzerland
July 29 - August 3
Come dance with the international community!
In this workshop participants from Europe, Canada, USA and New Zealand will
come together to dance at Lake Constance (Bodensee) in Switzerland.
Dance and movement are affirmations of the mystery, variety and wonder of
life.
Through movement we can get in touch with the gifts, talents, wisdom and
resources that are contained within our bodies. Through dance we can
remember ourselves and tap into own innate “dance medicine”. We activate our
life energy, creativity, joy, awareness and self-healing forces. Allowing
our bodies to lead the way, we explore new possibilities and find new ways
to truly be ourselves.
Dancing is dreaming with our bodies when we are totally absorbed in the
dance. During this kind of dreamtime we can experience a deep connection to
our whole being as we are interlinking the daily consciousness with the
deeper intelligence of our instinctual and intuitive nature. Here we can
reconnect with the aliveness that dances at the core of all of us - of all
living beings. When we dive into the deep sources of our bodily wisdom, we
can move beyond our social, cultural and religious roles and dance for the
renewal, healing and recovery of self and the world. Together we can invite
a “healing dream” for the earth.
Early bird registration until May 1st 2008: 300 Euro.
After May 1st: Euro 325 (without meals and accommodation)
Core Connexion Training graduates: 250(early)/275 Euro!

The Dance of the Wild Heart
The Journey from Fear to Courage to Love.
Have you noticed that finding what makes you feel alive is a challenge, sometimes? That you really would like to do something, but you constantly talk yourself out of it? You might say to yourself something like, “... Oh I could never do that because I am not talented enough, or skilled enough, or too old for it, or that I have no money, or I would look stupid, or my friends won’t like me anymore, or I don’t know what I want at all ...?”
Have you noticed that making personal change can be perplexing? That similar patterns of relationship and life choices keep re-emerging and repeating? Why is following what make us feel alive so difficult sometimes? Why do we not live our lives fully and passionately? Why can't we show up authentically as we ARE (be present) ALL the time?
Most of us experience this, especially as we become more aware of our true selves and as we try to live more authentically in our daily lives. Why can it be so difficult to love?
Why? One of the reasons is FEAR!
We all experience fear every day. Fear makes us start or stop, or holds us back from starting or stopping. Fear keeps us from making changes, from jumping into the unknown, as the unknown is, well, unknowable. Fear keeps us in the same old rut. It keeps us in unhealthy relationships, jobs, addictions ... Fear convinces us not to risk, i.e., to act bravely, authentically and creatively.
Fear also is really the only obstacle to love.
In this workshop we will dance the dance of the wild heart, embarking on an enquiry into what makes us feel alive. We will explore how fear, courage and love play out in our bodies and psyche. We will discover the place of fearlessness, which we all have at the core of our being. We will dance the journey from fear, through courage to love.
Be prepared to move, have fun, share some of yourself with others, and develop a fuller capacity for love and authenticity.

Masks - The face in the mirror
Have you noticed that being authentic, present and true to yourself can be difficult? That sometimes you say “yes” and later regret it? That sometimes when you look into the mirror you ask yourself who that person really is? We try to be true to our nature and integrity; and, - it is not easy.
Why is being ourselves so hard sometimes?
We often show lots of different faces in life and identify with them. People identify with their jobs, family and social roles, their paycheck, culture, education, age and religion. In the chaos of all those identities we often forget who we really are at the core of our being.
In this workshop we will enquire about the different faces that we show, which sometimes take over our experience in life. We will explore how our different identifications affect our relationships and what lies behind the daily drama. As we move and delve deeper, we'll discover the interactions and compromises between these faces and body states and how they play out in our daily lives.
Be prepared to move, have fun, share some of yourself with others, and develop a fuller capacity and compassion for inhabiting the Home of the True Self.

Metamorphosis - Dance is Transformation
Finding resources for the world of today
This is our second summer project bringing the different dance communities that I know together to meet each other in the dance of body and spirit. For me it has been tremendously inspiring and not always easy to teach in different countries as culture and society have a big impact on how our bodies and characters are formed, what we are comfortable with in relationship to other human beings etc.
I have learnt so much from all of you and of course also in my intercultural marriage that I would like to offer that opportunity to you to meet people from different countries in an accepting environment, where dance and expressive arts can take us beyond our daily, social and cultural roles and into the present moment of being human.
Since ancient times, people have used movement, dreams and journeys to the imaginal realm and into nature to receive guidance for daily life, healing and return to harmony.
The focus of this workshop will be a creative exploration of movement, rhythm, image and story as revelations of the soul; the manifestations of the striving of the Self to live in the world with wholeness.
We explore the magic of transformation through movement. We dance alone, with a partner or in a group. We experience our connection to all living things, beings, energies and spirit.
The 5 day workshop in a retreat center in Schloss Glarisegg, Switzerland will take us deeply into the experience of the body and our connection to nature. This will get us in touch with our inner nature, and the interconnectedness of all that exists. In Core Connexion it is our intention as creative human beings to invite a "healing dream" for ourselves, the society, and for our earth through dance, expressive arts, and ritual. We want to support the cultivation of health, freedom, and creativity for the individual and society.

Souldancer - Life Path
"My soul is a passionate dancer."
The soul dances the eternal dance of life. She dances between light and
shadow, uniqueness and sameness, separation and union. She dances the dance
that is at the core of every Body.
When we come to this earth we are born into a unique place, body, culture
and family, from where our bodies and stories are formed by our primary
relationships in life.
In this workshop we will explore this forming process which lead to the
development of our stories, bodily and behavioral patterns.
From here we will have the opportunity to dance, recognize, understand and
learn to accept these parts of our stories that keep our soul from soaring.
In this transformational workshop we will dance and embody our individual
stories and also connect with the dance that is a the core of all of us. We
will end with a ritual of dancing the life path of our soul.
Be prepared to move, have fun, share yourself with others and celebrate the
dance of the soul.

Returning Home
Have you noticed that making personal change can be hard?
That similar patterns of relationship and life choices keep re-emerging
and repeating?
That you take a couple of steps forward, and a step or two back?
Most of us experience this, especially as we become more aware of our
true selves and as we try to live more
authentically in our daily lives. We try to change -- to live more
closely to our ideals and aspirations -- and it's not easy.
Why? One reason is that we each have two "homing instincts" within both
our psyche and our bodies. One was formed in our family/cultural
environment, the other arises from the true self. The first formed to
help us bond and survive in the external world. The second supports the
health and expression of the innate true self. They can work against
each other and get in our way of being fully alive.
In this workshop, we'll explore the patterns of the psyche/body that
have formed in response to these two homing instincts -- through dance,
expression, guided imagery and self-inquiry. As we move and delve
deeper, we'll discover the interactions and compromises between these
body states and how they play out in our daily lives.
Be prepared to move, have fun, share some of yourself with others, and
develop a fuller capacity and compassion for inhabiting the Home of the
True Self.
